Why Friendship Medical Clinic Is Able to ServeFriendship Medical Clinic & Pharmacy exists to provide a primary medical care home for those who are uninsured and financially unable to get routine medical care. The clinic, which receives no federal funding and its 48 volunteers consisting of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and administrative assistants, are able to serve patients through the generous donations received from these diverse groups:
- Patient donations
- Specialist doctors in Horry County willing to treat patients
- Civic groups
- United Way
- Conway Medical Center
- Conway Medical Center Foundation
To learn more about becoming a patient please call 843-347-7178 (patient line), Monday – Thursday 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. or come into the clinic Monday – Thursday 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. located at 1396 Hwy 544, one mile south of the back entrance of Coastal Carolina University.
Patients are asked for a donation during each visit to the clinic. Collectively, in 2014 patients donated over $ 26,000 towards their medical care. Each patient gives what they can, and can take pride in knowing that they play a vital role in keeping Friendship Medical Clinic & Pharmacy open.
